Our Sunday 10am Service
What can I expect at Portlife?

We spend some time every Sunday using music to worship our amazing God.  Someone always speaks, sharing something from the Bible about God and explaining how it applies to our life. Some Sundays we have communion to remind us of Jesus’ death and resurrection. You are welcome to have communion with us or, if you prefer, you can just observe. Another way we worship God is through giving – the church is funded through the generous giving of our church family. The service goes for about an hour and fifteen minutes.

You are not required to do anything at the service. Feel free to participate or just sit and listen.

Kids Ministry
We love kids at our church, and we want them to learn about God while they have heaps of fun!

At both of our campuses, we have a kids program that runs simultaneously with our 10am church service. As you come to Portlife for the first time, our welcome team will give you specific information for your family.

  • Babies
    • This is a quiet room where parents can nurse their babies, or put them to sleep
    • In this room you can also see and hear the service, so you don't have to miss out on anything!
  • Toddlers
    • At our Port Adelaide campus, this is a supervised program held in the Green Monkeys playground
    • The program is mostly free-play, but usually includes a bible story, activities, games and songs
    • Shoes need to be taken off and socks must be worn in the playground (you can borrow some clean socks if you forget to bring some)
  • Pre-school and Primary
    • Kids Life is a fun and interactive Bible-based program for pre-school and primary aged children
    • The program often starts in a large group with all ages of children, but may split up into smaller age-based groups as appropriate
    • The program includes a kids message, activities and games

Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Most people dress in nice casual clothes.

You are very welcome at Portlife, even if you've never stepped foot in a church before. Someone will welcome you as you come in. Feel free to ask them any questions about the service.

In our foyer, there is a Help Desk, so you can always ask our friendly volunteer for help or more information about who we are and what we do.

We believe that making friends is a big part of church life, as the more we know each other the more we can support and help each other. We encourage you to hang around after the service and meet some other people who go to Portlife. You get a free drink if it’s your first time so it’s a great excuse to get to know us. If you’d rather just go home, that’s fine too.

Both of our campuses have a car park where you can park. The car parks do fill up, so some people choose to park on the streets surrounding Portlife. We recommend arriving before 10 am to ensure you have enough time to find a place to park and make it into our building before the service starts.

Our Port Adelaide campus is located on a main road with a car park that has disabled parking. There are no steps to enter the building, and no steps inside. We have a disabled toilet that is also a parenting room with a baby changing station.

Our Seaview campus is located on a main road with a small car park at the back of the building that has disabled parking. There is ramp access to enter the building.

We encourage kids to give our program a go, but they are equally welcome to sit with their family.
